Cancellation policy
Every listing follows one of two cancellation policies, always shown on the property page and again before you pay. The exact refund windows and percentages are set platform-wide and can change, but the mechanism is always the same:
Flexible
A full refund if you cancel far enough ahead of check-in, with a partial refund available closer to your stay.
Strict
A full refund requires cancelling well ahead of check-in; cancelling later still gets a partial refund up to a certain window, and nothing after that.
Security deposits
A cancellation policy governs the stay portion of what you paid — a refundable security deposit is handled separately and is always released back to you if the booking is cancelled, regardless of which policy applies.
